Help Cv joint wont stay in

I have a 2000 GT. I replaced the passenger CV Axle. The problem is, the new one will not stay in. It slides all the way to the end and easily slides right out. I checked and got the right part. Do I mess with the retaining pin?
Any advice is welcome.

Try this when you push it in take the axle nut off and use large rubber dead blow hammer and tap on the end of the shaft until you can hear it bottom out that should help.

are you sure you got the correct part in the box? I had this same thing happen to me too. Right part number but wrong part in the box.

I've had that happen too it was bigger by a quater inch

for real, on my gtp i bought shaft from advance. it was 1.5 " to short...call ed morad or look him up on ebay..u will get the correct part. good prices too.

We use O reilly's with no problem
