HELP!! Changed HUB Assembly last week....now loud squeaking noise.

So I had been driving with my ABS/Traction Off light on for a couple months....finally changed the Hub Assembly last week (front passenger). I bought a Timken hub Assembly from Auto Zone and installed it according to the thread
http://www.grandprixforums.net/f73/how-to-replace-front-hubs-10985.html

And torqued the bolts according to mystic231 on that same thread
-Hub bolts: 96 foot lbs
-Brake Calliper bolts: 133 foot lbs
-36 mm axel bolt: 159 foot lbs
-tire bolts: 100 foot lbs

Light went off and 2 days later it started sqealing, quiet at first, now louder. I took the tire off today and checked things out. I loosened the 36mm, and re-torqued it to 110lbs (saw that number on another site).

Took it for a drive and it still squeaks (loud!), the ABS/Traction Light is still OFF, and it only squeaks when driving straight and/or there is pressure on that side/tire (right). Sound dissapears when I turn to the Right, putting pressure on the left side of the car, and releaving it from the right side/tire.

Also, i never had this sound while driving on the bad assembly,, just the common "propeller" sound.

Anyone have some helpful advice!??
Thanks.

sounds to me you either have a bad hub, or you gota piece of metal stuck in your brake pad or you bent the tab over that tells you to change your pads thats the only thing it could be

Thanks..
Just to add something (not sure if itll make a difference) but the sqeaking is not constant, you could compare it to a "ticking sound" but instead of ticking is squeaking.

Would this be caused by the things your discribed (bent metal or piece stuck in?)

Even if they are Timken?? thought those were the best. and others like Dynapak, or national bearing were the junk ones.

i just had this problem. your is probably different than mine, the kid that helped me with mine forgot to put the center nut on. big f***ing oops, and it made that squealing noise for like an hour when i took it apart and checked it, it was practically in pieces. it might be a reconditioned hub thats bad.

Well I know my axel nut is on lol.... like imdaman3 said, I probably got a bad hub.
What kind did you purchase?and Im going to guess that you had to replace it??

Matt, must of missed your post, but I went over to Detroit to purchase a Timken one from AutoZone, online it says it has a 1 year warrenty, but there was no "true" warrenty, I still have the receipt, hoping this will be good enough.

In toronto for school, so havent been able to do anything on the car.

I installed a Timken Hub on a pontiac Montana. It was squeaking from day one. Took it back and got another hub. Squeaking was gone after that. Does it only squeak when you trun from left to right real sudden? Thats what this one did.

Then get it warrantied.

If its warrantied for a year, it still has a warranty.

Also, does this mean that no one makes quality hub/bearing assy's anymore?
