HELP! Can't remove crank pulley bolt!!!

I need to remove the crank pulley/harmonic balancer on my '00 GTP and I can't get the F***er loose!!!! I haven't found a way to stop the pulley from rotating. Even used an impact wrench...to no avail!!! I need answers fast! This is my only mode of trans and this is about the only opertunity I will get to work on my car due to my schedule!!! (have to replace crank and cam sensors).

is the motor out? If so stick a screwdriver through the flywheel and go to town with a breaker bar. Done it twice now.

Or, if the motor is still in the car, place a pair of locking pliers on the flexplate and rotate until they jam up against the bell housing.

lift more weights. i wasnt moving mine too far either until i borrowed my brothers (mechanic) good impact. zipped it right off in about 10 seconds.

It's right-hand thread. I had to use a 24" breaker bar with a 3' pipe on the end to get mine to break loose.

hit it nice and hard on the head of the bolt with a ball peen to shock the bolt its not fail proof but works some of the time

Last week had one not budge at all, so i sprayed a little wd40(all we had) and then put the impact on it again for a few minutes and it came out very slowly.

It works. Just make sure the breaker bar is SECURE. otherwise you may have a 2' long piece of steel spinning around wildly in your engine bay!

i had to change mine last week... a little liquid wrench on the bolt, put a pair of vice grips on the fly wheel and then get yourself about a 3' breaker bar and you will be good to go

Take the access cover off the flywheel from below and clamp a vise grip on the flex plate. (not the ring gear though) That will hold the engine. I just did it 2 weeks ago with my GTP.

Thanks gang! After five hours of fighting with the darned thing, I ended up trying the starter trick...and it worked! Thanks for all suggestions.
