My balancer bolt Using a 1/2” breaker bar with a 15/16” socket

what way should i tern the bolt to get it off ? right or left ?

dont know if its reverse thread or not !

crank the starter over seems to work for others brace the bar against the frame and tap the starter
Just make sure the fuel and spark is disabled

Ok, the starter trick didnt work for me. I ended up breaking a 1/2" breaker bar, the crank bolt was on so hard.

make sure the flexplate is clamped good,(or how ever you're keeping the engine from turning) Jack the car up some more, and get some more extension on the end of that bar, and turn as hard as you can Counterclockwise.

Just dont pull muscles like I did....

heat the bolt up with a torch and spray it with water. than try the starter trick. if that doesnt work buy an impact gun :th_laugh-lol2:

pshhh...you guys are doin it all wrong...1/2" breaker with a STB off a buick is what I used.
My stepmom's car....well that one broke the socket....bolt didnt wanna come off...period.

sorry, i believe it might be a 42" bar.

the point is.

Working smart is better than working hard.

Yea... and letting the air compressor do the work is the smart way :)

Its ok. I just did the oil pan gasket on the model A and it took two trys and its probably still going to leak. :(
