HELP ASAP! drivers side axle stuck

I need so advise on a stuck driver side axle.. it will not budge from the tranny... and now the damn CV joint and boot have become unattached lol... how the hell do I get this housing out of the tranny??
 


push the axle in, then with a pry bar behind it, kick the bar or pop it hard and fast. it needs to pop past a clip that holds it in.

its a pita sometimes. keep trying.
 
Oh OK so the "male" end is inside the tranny and the "female" end is the axle... so would a slide hammer work cause I have pryed and pryed thus thing doesn't want to come out lol
 
Holy **** that worked! Haha.. pushing it in then hitting it real fast with the pry bar and hammer lol thanks mate!!
 


Ya I was at it for like 30 min haha u tried every angle of leverage with the pry bar and nothing lol.. then 10 sec doing it how you said haha thanks Scotty!
 
that's because you have to release the pressure on teh compression clip, before it'll compress.

Surprised Scott didn't say.. use that neat one Bill has..lol
