So, can heat wrap be wrapped around the waste gate pipe where it hits the union on the exhaust?thats a flex pipe right there next to it. leave that as is.

its not really needed because its only lets out a small amount of air. not like its making extra heat under the hood.
any of the HOT pipes can be wrapped tho. not flex pipe tho.
A super charger has a pulley to regulate how fast it spins and how much boost it will make while a turbo charger will spool and spin full out as long as you have you foot in the gas feeding exhaust pressure to the hot side.
The wastegate on the hot side has has a spring in it and or is hooked up to a manual or electronic boost controller, once that boost psi is obtained the wastegate opens to let exhaust gas exit so you don't overboost.
The blow off valve on the coldside opens to let excess cooled air charge pressure coming from the intercooler go somewhere when you take your foot out of the throttle to combat compressor surge.
The wrap on the wategate pipe won't help with efficiency seeing your exiting pressure but it will help direct the heat out make it look nice and possibll help with rattle/rub.
Thanks for that detailed explanation! I'll figure this car out sooner or later!
Got my salvage yard bumper mounted tonight.....couldn't fit the foam in because I had to use spacers so the bumper would clear the IC. Good enough for me....
niceeHappy new year!
What does doing that work have to do with tranny fluid?I needed to add some tranny fluid after I changed both axles and a bearing and seal on the drivers side. I may have added too much. will that cause a leak?

Did you mean power steering fluid?
Your trans fluid level needs to sit at the full line checked when running/hot, if it's overfull siphon some out or it may puke some out when hot.
He meant he changed his CV shafts and he had to add fluid to replace what leaked out. Especially if he did drivers side
Yes, or if you cant, disconnect the return cooler line and run it for a few seconds.
