how do you turn off service engine soon light on 1999 gran prix it has been on for 2yrs they say it is egr valve but it runs fine
 


Either have a person with a scanner (most autoparts store will do this for free) clear it. Or find someone in your area with a Tuner to disable that specific DTC.

Wecome! If you clear the codes it will turn off the light but if the problem is still there it will come on again. Another way to clear the codes is to unhook your battery for 20-30 min. This will reset your saved radio stations though.
