I am new to this site and a little nervous. I am an independent female from the STL. I like to know how to solve problems with my car before I take it to the shop. If I know what the problem may be, then I can determine whether or not I am getting ripped off. However, getting ripped off is always a possibility.

Hello.... Don't be afraid to ask for a diagnosis nobody here likes getting taken to the cleaners either. Just do a little research before hand and describe your problem with all the little details.
