• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello all

Guess i never really introduced myself here yet, that's my fault and here is my official hello. I drive a 2002 grand prix gtp, I started about january of this year and just took off from there. I did a lot of research and reading and decided to try some not so popular idea's on my car. I run E85 and would be more than happy to pass down my knowledge to anyone that would like to do it, i use hptuners and am very familiar with the program and what to do. I can't answer every question but I can do my best!

I started with taking my car into the high 12's, I judged what my car would run off of what everyone with comparable mods would run. So i did simple bolt on's like headers, fwi, rockers, and 3.2 pulley with a decent tune and took it to the track expecting mid 13's at best. I ended up running a 13.2@103 on my first pass with street tires and was just hooked on taking my current setup as far as possible.

So far without nitrous i have run a pb of 12.8@103 with some shifting issues i didn't have time to work out  (hope to run .2-.3 faster with the problem fixed) and with nitrous not making a full pass i have run a pb [email protected]. I didn't spray right away and i let off way early since i was losing fuel pressure  so i ended up with a crappy e.t. and mph.

I have since ordered and waiting to install a new fuel pump and planning on going mid 11's before the year's end with my current setup. I think running a full pass on my 100 shot will get me close and bumping it up to a 125 will get there. I am still running a stock cat back (was on for the 12.2 run) which will be removed the day i attempt this run, but I promise by years end an 11.8 or faster pass with at least 2 video's to prove it and of course on my current setup of simple bolt on's.

Sorry for the biography lol, but hey gotta let everyone know what the history is right? :th_shakinghead1: :th_peaceout:

Welcome to the community.

It sounds like you are a bit of an experimenter, gathering ideas, ways to carry it all out then trying it out, which I personally find pretty awesome. You'll fit in nicely around here and look forward to your info on running E85 as I have seen it asked about around here a couple times.

Keep us updated on your progress, I love reading about stuff like this.

Welcome to the insanity. Personally I'd drop the catback @ the track if you don't do so already. Like you said some bigger injectors and maybe a better tranny or a shift kit at the very least to help with all the power :D

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I actually have 60# injectors right now which are capable for handling the fuel needed for the power i'm making. I agree about the cat back, i actually had a race pipe made for my car through a local 3800 performance shop here in illinois. Sinister Drag Designs - Chicagolands new performance specialist! if anyone is interested. They are a new shop but the guys running it have been doing this for many years now and they know their way around a grand prix. I also have a trannyman trans and to this day is the best thing I've purchased for my car hands down. Dave knows what he's doing and i will never regret buying any of his amazing products. I killed my stock trans pretty quickly with my power level so i needed an upgrade. I can't wait to get back to the track and cut some head turning times with my mods. My goals are 12.5@107+ without the nitrous and 11.5@116+ with it. Only time will tell but there are only a few track days left this season so expect some new pb posts very soon.
