Hey! i drive a 05 impala LS (3800)I have FWI and U-bend delete and figured since we all have the same car engine/trans might as well join!
my buddy has 03 9c1(stock) and he keeps bashing saying his lower gear ratio will whoop me. but i got some mods but i want to make sure i walk him being n/a. what mods do you think i should get(ive read safely modding your 3800 etc) my question is what my next cheapest mod for best gain?

er rockers + hv3 + 2.5in dp (might go 3in if you want) + plog (or skip downpipe and plog and get headers, speeddaddys for example), get a tune. yeah, you also could get a cam.

but consider this: all the above mods are barely gonna let you touch gtp levels of performance, and for the price for the above you might as well get yourself a topswap going. with headers and a good tune you could easily run a bit over what stock gtp's make and be set for future mods to squich more power from the blower you jost put on.

oh ya ive read that a ton before i actually became a member hear, that when i decided to get a full tune up
thing is i dont come across $400-800 cash that often, still have 1 year till the car is paid off, so i figure ill just do a mod here and there and stay n/a, and my best bud is a licenced mechanic with his own shop so we did my FWI and u-bend for $50.00 lol!(parts and taxes included).
I dont want to get a tune yet cause i want to add more parts before tune. so whats going to give me the biggest gain without having to tune it yet? you can get speedy daddy headers for under $300 on ebay now!
