So is there any scratch remover for this...haha.
I am so pissed, but there is nothing I can do but fix it so oh well.

I'm thinking satin black from some cans. Not because it's cheap and easy although that's part of it. But becuase I have the worst luck and stuff like this happens on a weekly basis. So paying thousands for a great paint job really is throwing money away that I can use for school, my son, and more toys for the ride!

Anybody have suggestions or tips on spray painting a car satin black?? I figured take out lights, tape off wheels and glass. But anyone with experience I'd like to hear it now before I start.
 


Agggh! I feel your pain, heres what to do you best just pick up a decent scratch remover at any Advanced Autoparts or where ever and buff the hell out of it. Next you are best to call the nearest pontiac dealer and ask for the paint codes for your car, they are located on the sticker on the inside of the trunk lid. One should be a 4 digit number this is your black base coat and another is a 3 digit number this is the clear coat this is what gives you the shine. Put on each coat and let it dry then buff it like hell again to remove any excess paint. Remember don't settle for a black that is near your color it won't come out too good unless it is exact.
 
From the looks of it...it looks like some of those scratches would come out with wet sanding with 2000grit and 3000grit sand paper. But some won't because it looks like it went down to the primer. Ouch.
 
try to have them buffed out and touched up by a pro at a shop, it shouldnt cost too much and should hide most of the marks. Pros have much better compounds and experience that most of us dont have.

Have heard great things, do some googleing. It originated on a old chrylser forum and now I think everyone is trying it, so I dont want the ricer flag thrown, but personally I'll stick with dupont.

You could also paint it with black epoxy primer/sealer. Very durable and will protect everything underneath from the elements. That is of course you have access to a compressor and such.

Never saw the dog again. I used some Turtle wax rubbing compound and it took off like 85 percent of them. Once this winter is over though I'm going to give painting it a shot.
 
Solution..... antifreeze.


Not sure how that will help the car, but it will resolve the issue with the dog.
