Heater on while AC button turned on

Hey guys just a real quick question. If my AC button is on but the temp knob is on heat, will it affect anything? Reason i'm asking is because sometimes it's hard for me to turn the ac button off. I have to keep pressing it over and over again until it turns off. TX weather is crazy. It will be like 80* at night and 47* in the morning so I wouldn't want my ac clutch to be on while the heat is going but idk if it will even do that. I have to eventually replace that though since half of the bulbs are out as well.
 


could be the blend door actuators. they are what controls the hot and cold air flow. if they dont turn to cold, it will blow hot still.
 
The temp knob controls the temp of the air blowing regardless of what else is selected. If you have your AC button on, but turn the temp to the warm side, it will still blow warm air.
 
Everything works fine. Cools when it's on cold and heats when it's on hot. I just wanted to know if it would mess up anything while the ac button is turned on but the knob is on heat. So basically, the ac button turns on the ac clutch as long as the knob is on cold and the clutch will turn/stay off if the knob is on heat?

Hmm. I might have to try that. Bad thing about it is TX weather is so unpredictable. It could be cold in the morning and hot in the evening or vice versa. Guess I will just stick to how it is now. I just don't want anything to mess up cuz it's really every once in a while when I remote start it in the morning. I'll leave the heat on at night and remote start it and when I get in, the ac button is on with the heat on. I don't hear the clutch though...
 


it odd that it lights up on its own like that. what if you turn the climate control off when you park it, is it still off when you remote start it?
