Heater hose bypass fitting.

Anybody ever change the heater hose bypass on a 3.8? Its the on between the belt tensioner and the intake manifold.
 


I recently replaced both hoses but they are leaking again. Any ideas on how to eliminate leak? I suspect I might have scratched the metal surface when I was trying to remove the broken elbow that was inside the block.
