Heater blowing hot air but not switching from defrost to floor when selected

I have a 2004 Widetrack. The heater is blowing hot air like it should, but when the selector knob is moved from defrost to floor or any other selection it will only stay blowing air on defrost. What should I be looking for starting with simple first? Thanks

Maybe a possible blend door issue, like it's not switching.

The blend door actuator is the first thing I'd be looking at.

silly rabbits, blend door actuators control hot and cold or the mix of air. only...why its called a blend door actuator.....

your flow direction is vacuum powered from the engine. line runs off the intake manifold to the firewall down the fender under the fuse box, look for it to be busted. battery change can snap the line easy.

cant find a busted line under the hood, your off to climate control or the vacuum box in the console near the firewall.

or rarely, the plastic linkage in the dash breaks all by its self.

The blend door actuator is functioning. Where exactly are the vacuum lines located? I can't seem to find any. Also the climate control or vacuum box, where are they located on the firewall? Thanks
