Heated Seats

So I have a 99 gtp, ever since I've had the car, the heated seat has not worked. I went out to do some diagnosing on it, popped out the plastic panel that houses the switch (center counsel, in front of shifter), and apparently it is not plugged in, lol.

I looked inside the hole and dug my hand in there to feel around, and I did not see or feel a connector just chilling inside that would connect to the heated seat switch. Now I'm kind of wondering if the car never had heated seats and someone just put that switch there for looks, because I do not see any disconnected male connectors that would plug into the switch.

I would think that the connector would be fairly long and be in plain sight if it was there? For models that do not have the heated seat option, is that square piece of plastic in front of the shifter the same just without the heated seat switch?

models without heated seats just have an extra cubby space there. if you got leather pop off the center console piece to search easier. The wiring for it should be coming from the drivers side of the inside of the center console should sorta come from the same harness for your perf shift (if equipped) or the light for your shifter position

from what i understand they come with the same wiring regardless if it had heated seats or not. so try finding the wiring as described above. and also look under your seat for the wires going into the seat near the back

Some had the wiring, some didn't.

Remove the shifter handle and pop out the top of the console to get a better look. Look under the seat for a rectangular module attached to the bottom of the seat. That module 97-03 would have a couple taped up wires coming off it. One with a green connector and one with a black connector.
