Okay so I am replacing my exhaust manifold and I took the front heat shield under the front spark plugs off and saw a broke off bolt which connected the exhaust manifold to the engine long story short there was a bad squeal around that area which is why I started removing the heat shield ect. I need to remove the heat shield from the side of the motor which runs under the throttle body but I cannot remove because of a black cooling tube that runs from the water pump housing around to the side of the egr so my question is how do I or can I even get this black tube disconnected from the water pump housing so I can remove the side heat shield? it had one bolt that connected it to the water pump housing which I removed but the thing will not budge. I will try to attach a photo if I can. And by the way it is a 2002 SE 3.1 any help would be greatly appreciated!
