Heat/Air turns on by itself (DCC)

Whenever i start my car, and had previously shut off the heat/air, it will automatically turn itself on. The DCC displays it as being off as well yet it is on. clicking in on the knob to turn it off does not work. i have to actually turn it on then turn it off. was wondering what could be wrong or if my car was haunted :th_nervous:
