im having a problem with mine it fades away on me now i see alot of ppl say to do the spring thing to fix it but from what ive read sounds like thats because theres are moving mine doesnt move it just turns on then fades away then sometimes comes back on then fades away again. Could it be a power source or a ground and thats why it fades away?
 


does yours have a cracked solder connection? That is common...not sure about the power, but I guess it could be.
 
Mine did that in my old 2000 GTP. I just replaced the entire unit..and never had any more problems.
