heads leaking oil



There was a recall on the front valve cover gasket not that long ago. I got mine done last year just because I could and it was free. Yeah, not sure if that applies to just the 97-03 or all the 3800's tho.
 
I'll try to be helpful. Aside from "remove everything preventing you from getting the valve cover off and replace," you're gonna want to torque the valve cover bolts down at... 10 N-m / 89 lb in, I believe.
 


Valve cover gasket recall is only for GTPs, unfortunately. Believes me I tried to have it done buuuut they only give us N/A spark plug retainers. This is for 97-03 so idk if any of what I said applies to the original thread poster's 04+ buuut yea.
