Heads interchangeable?

I have a spare head from another 3800 series 2 N/A. The right bank head to be specific (firewall side). Question is, can this head be put on either bank of the engine?:confused:
 


hmm... doubtful. possible, but very doubful IMO. if my heads weren't at my mechanic's i'd go look for you.

but they are, so i can't. :( sorry. best of luck
 
Front and back heads or left and right are both identical. You can swap, mix, match and do almost anything you want.

L67 is different from L36 though. the difference is the fuel injector port on teh L67 head.
 
Thats good, cause I bought an engine from a junk yard. I took the UIM and LIM off and saw some white colored powder type thing on one of rear bank water ports, its as if the inside of port is painted. I've worked on cars for a while and have never seen that type of white on any car. I suspect coolant leakage but dont know if its from the head or intake. has anybody ever seen this color on their water ports or throttle body water ports?
 


That I've seen, there is four bolt holes on both sides of each head. all you got to do is just swap over the stud for the coils with a torx socket. I just needed to know if head, intake, and exhaust manifold bolts holes will align.
