The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
I have had both. After owning both this is what I think. In the end I went with painted OEM housings that are similar to the black crystals.
Black crystals
Pros -
Better styling
Cons -
Light output (FYI The chrome refelctor is smaller than an OEM housing that is painted black.)
Headlight brackets that come with them are cheap (Recommend using the stock brackets)
Corners lights leak and get condesation (I recommend getting the black depo corner lights which are better)
Corner lights have no chrome reflector and the light appears dim (same comment as above)
Projectors (basing these on the spyder projectors that I owned)
Pros -
Good light output.
Can use HIDs without blinding people
Cons -
Headlamp bounce
Leaves gaps between the bumper
Alignment is a problem
Light beams cross
No replacement headlight bracket available if it's broken beyond repair
Id go with the spyders if you're not wanting to retro. I had the spyders....idk a year or so ago. The low beams have decent output. High beams are useless basically. I put 35 watt HID's in the high's and they were somewhat useful. One shook like hell. The other was solid as can be.
As for the black crystals I have no experience with them. I do however like the way they look.
