hey guys my finace's 2000 grand prix GT headlights suck at night.Ive removed most of the residue in/out of the headlight and ive put new bulbs in it and they still suck at night. They dont reach out as far as most cars and they dont seem very bright either. The brights suck at night so we never use them, the brights are as bright as the low beams(which aint bright at all).I dont want to spend alot of money to fix this issue cuz were expecting our first child and im fixing the intake gaskets, all rotors and brakes, sway bar, tires and cd player already.Any advise?

thats what i thought...is it pretty hard to install?...35w or 55?bulb type?bulb color?...im new to HIDS(sorta)

Check your grounds on your headlights. My lights were dim on my last GP and the Dealer redid the grounds and they were much brighter.

I didnt have any problems either...I just couldnt see at night. Apparently there was too much resistance in the ground causing them to dim.

In DMM I meant Digital Multi-Meter. Grounds should test as close to 0.0 as possible. If its a grounding issue, you're gonna have problems with different headlights as well.

I knew what DMM meant :)...i wonder what they read...lets say they were faulty,i wonder how much it would be to fix it?

The answer......

Oh....lol, Since its both of your headlights, I'd test your main ground (from your battery) If thats bad, you'd easily be able to swap it out. Since you've gotten it all tore apart already, it'd prolly be a good idea to upgrade your power wires anyway.
