headlight wiring issues.

Hi, So i finally got my new (to me) GTP home yesterday.
I was checking out the headlights, as i knew the high beams didn't work.
It looks like the wireing harness was hacked up to install the "Halo projector kit".
I can get replacement ballast/bulbs pretty cheap, but id like to go back to the stock headlights to draw less attention from local law enforcement.
How hard would it be to get a new headlight harness from the junkyard and rewire it? I have basic soldering skills, but i dont want to get in over my head.

If you can solder, you'll be fine. However, IIRC, the headlight harness has a lot of wires in it. Probably just replacing the damaged areas would suffice...it's what...3 wires per light?

I think im just going to buy new ballasts for now, Get my old man to check it over and see if it can pass state inspection. If not i guess ill be spending a few hours undoing the damage.
the lights do look sweet...
