headlight out ticket?

just got a ticket for having a headlight out... turns out it just came on after i got the ticket. oh joy. the officer gave me this thing to get signed by an officer to show that it works when i fix it which it now works... so does anyone know if i still need to pay the ticket if i get this thing signed? this sucks
 


I don't know how it works in NY, but in CT if you have to get it signed to show it's fixed, it's not a ticket/ infraction. It's a written warning, thus no fine.

What's the paper look like? Does it have a pay /plea date? What's the fine?
 


i know... im at the light going into my development at like 1:30 am and i see him across the way. so i go by nice n slow. windows rolled down so he cant see my tints and sure enough i see him pull a u turn. then im like oh ****... probably for my lack of a front plate. didnt even know the headlight was out
 
I always check mine like when I pull behind cars, I make sure all 4 of my jankie-ass lookin lights are on. The taillights & license plate light I check like once a month.

yea... it was so late that i was like the only one on the road. i do that all the time cuz i love to look at my HID's ;) and earlier that day both were working.
 


you should be able plead not guilty after going to your dept, not sure which one where i lived it was 4th on old willits, and get it signed by an officer stating it works and send it in, should be no issue.
 
I'm too old to be "potential" anything. I just wonder how the cop, who didn't even give the infraction, was being a 'punk ass'.
 


Some Suffolk Cops think they are the Shiznit, my buddies bro is head of the detective unit for the DA's office in suffolk, one day he was in the HOV doing 110, cop pulled him over, came over as stated like a punk im da **** i just got ya cop, was all confident in himself and my buddy pulled out his brothers pba card, 1 of 6 lol, he came back all pissed off told him to slow down and went on his way (he was mad) my buddy is now a NYC cop LOL. Punk Ass Cop: Cops that think they are above the law, cocky, full of themselves and think they are the sh*t cause they are in blue and most of us are not.
 
well today I went about a quater mile down the road leaving the DMV and I said to myself, " Hey i'm in a differnt county, I should put my seatbelt on". So I did, at the stoplight I see a white charger get in my GP's ass. followed me a mile thru town then pulled me. I'm thinking "wtf did I do". the cop is like u know why I pulled u? I said I have no idea. He said u had no seat belt on, I watched u put it on. I said officer I had no idea I was being watched, I just left the DMV and decided to put on my seat belt after realizing I didnt have one on. The cop is like, i'll be right back.... Now that is a Punk Ass cop. what an asshole! even though its $25 bucks...

I never even knew the cop was sitting and waiting. if he watched me, maybe he would have noticed that I never looked that way, at him...and I had no idea he was there. I was putting my seat belt on my own free will.

It's stupid to put one on in front of a cop, I woulda been better off not touching it. windows r tinted and window was maybe half down.
