Headlight Aiming

Replaced my headlights over a year ago and was never really satisfied with the aiming. Anybody got some tips? Fog reveals how they're off, but short of adjusting them on a foggy night.....

Thought about covering one side up and adjusting them one at a time to keep from getting confused by the overlap. Not groping around in the dark, just something I need to fine tune. Pretty hard to do in the garage.
 


I usually go to like a wal mart parking lot in the back near the loading docks (because its flat most of the time). Point the car at the building and aim them like that. Usually park like 15 or so feet away.
