How does a closed loop tune run rich?

im sure i have is first scans saved in old email if you'd like to see it. they gave him some really messed up N* maf file too. when he questioned the high neg trim, zpp they told him, yeah its a bit rich but its ok, he also sent the pcm back to them a few times to be retuned, 40 a re tune and shipping both ways. and it never got better, till he bought a tuner and we worked on it.
 


So.. It sounds like ZZP was again saving people extra headache and money by not trying to sell things they don't need. So far within this thread that makes Headers and External Transmission Coolers. What else does ZZP claim is unnecessary that you all think is required?

Are you completely illiterate and mechanically disabled, or is this just a lapse of judgement on your part?

According to your signature, you don't have headers or an external trans cooler. Why is that? You don't practice what you preach?
 
I do have an external cooler, but I am not one of those people have to have everything I have changed on my car added to my sig. Would you like if I would add Inferno hood, tint, SPO spoiler, LED interior lights, and LED headlights to it too?

I don't have headers because I am not modded beyond an intake and I never intend to mod beyond that.

And since we are talking about sigs you said ZZP says you don't need headers, yet you are running ZZP headers....
 
If you read one of my first posts on this thread and were able to comprehend that in comparison with my signature, you would realize that I have headers because of the compression change.

You're claiming that headers are such a supporting mod that everyone should get them, but won't use them yourself. That seems pretty hypocritical.
 


I never said everyone should get them. You are right that I did say they are a SUPPORTING mod. Meaning they go with other mods, like pulley drops. I am basically stock. I only did the intake to get the blower whine, and I only did the downpipe because my factory one got a hole in it.
 
So basically, now that you've got a larger diameter downpipe with a higher flowing cat, you don't need headers. I think we have finally agreed on this whole thing.

Case dismissed.

WTF are you talking about? My car is basically stock. I don't need headers. If I had ever planned on pulley dropping I would have gotten headers when my stock downpipe got a hole in it.
 


If you didn't feel a need to remove a restriction in the exhaust, you would have gotten a stock downpipe, but you didn't. You got a 3" ZZP downpipe with a high flow cat.

You had the choice between headers or stock manifolds and a less restrictive downpipe. You chose the less restrictive downpipe because headers aren't necessary.
 
I chose the downpipe because of price. It had zero to do with restriction. Stop trying to put words in my mouth.
