I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP and am looking at Headers

I have narrowed it down to two brands,
SLP or TOGS:confused:
anyone installed either on 2004 gtp?
i've heard that the SLP's make a ticking noies, and the Togs rub against stuff?
anyone's expert advise would really help me please.
Thanks:)

get speed daddys or Wbody stores. They dont make Togs anymore and SLP's are Way over priced. But I said that in your last thread. Maybe making one more thread about it will do the trick

NO, Go speed daddy. There the same thing as SLP but 1/4 the cost. Ive had a set on mine for 5 years and they still look nice, and like I said Im pretty sure The other guys(Tog) are out of business

ZZP HEADERS starting at $689 found at ZZPerformance
Pros: They are stainless steel, 2 piece with one slip joint for the cross over,1.75" primaries.
Cons: some have issues with contact with fans, very pricy.

TOG HEADERS starting at $749 found at 3800 Performance - high performance aftermarket car parts for your Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Impala, Regal, Bonneville, and V6 F-body!!
Pros: No slip joints, stainless steel, 1.75" primaries,Tog extremes have huge primaries for extreme builds.
Cons: Have to be welded in most expensive in the group.

If togs were in business would you recommend them? or still speed daddy all the way?
and how do the speed daddy's fit? leaks?
hp gain?

For the money SD's cant be touched. There fitment is fine. No leaks if you install them properly. Id pick W body over togs, and SD over both because of Value Vs product

i have TOGs, from 3800performance because i needed all the C.A.R.B. paper work to make them legal for emissions out here in cali, and with a bolt in TOG dp from zzp or the w-body store the TOG install is super easy. However the TOGs at 3800 performance must come wit the ceramic coating, since thats all he has, and that coating on my set and a set for another gtp owner i know dulled out really fast.

with any header and dp set up its going to be louder than stock and have some ticking at idle, who cares, run em. i hear very little ticking at idle and none will driving.

TOG install is super easy
You're a lying whore.

Seriously, though, TOGs are a monstrous pain in the ass. If you can find them used for $200, feel free to jump on them. Speed Daddy's are cheaper, easier to install, and stainless instead of coated steel.

you are kidding right? 3800performance set of TOGs, ZZP TOG downpipe, about 3-4 hours taking your time and cleaning stuff up and I was done. The only issue I had was the cross over needed to be realigned once

Got a nice pair of used Togs for 375, thanks for the help guys!! will post pics when i put everything on, and will let you know how it goes. :)

Putting the crossover in, tightening bolts, re-tightening, and re-tightening again is way more trouble than it's worth. The fit is so finicky and the bolts are so hard to get to. Waste of time and sweat.
