Header wrap anybody ?

Going to be getting my slp headers next week!! I have been waiting and going back and fourth on choosing headers and i will be choosing slp headers. Well i have been reading about the slp headers and everyone who has had them said they are great and what not but the only problem that everyone has is that the flex joint in the downpipe makes a tick sound, and a couple people said to wrap that up with the header wrap to get rid of the tick sound, ahh speaking of that i have the worst ticking sound all the time now coming from under the hood, might be the dp has a leak or something cause i dont remember having a exhust leak when i install my slp cat back 4 months ago, anyways About the wrapping should i wrap the headers or crossover pipe as well ?? Idk if that would hold moisture and rust the headers, but i probably dont have to since they have ceramic coating. I found a few sites that have cool color header wrap soo if i get some i will get red cause i have a black gtp with red background, dam i need to get some pics up, the only pics i have on here is when i first got it. But yea i am verry excited about getting brand spanky new slp headers!!! Oh one other thing, since i'm not really fimilar with header wrap when i see pics of it, it just looks like cloth or something, wheres the sticky stuff on it soo it will stay to the metal ?

header wrap looks crappy and youll have to redo it later if youre within the nothern hemisphere. it may also make your headers rust from the inside out. however, it does help a lot with heat.

so its your call.

From what I understand about the ticking problem was that when they, SLP, use to coat the DP and the FLEX with the Ceramic coating, that is what supposidly was causing the ticking. Since then, if you look at the newer copies of the SLP, the Flex and DP are no longer coated in the Ceramic coating.

Of course I have no definitive proof of this, but this is what I was told by several people I trust. Just thought I would pass that along here :)
