Header question.

I was trolling around ebay yesterday and found an auto salvage yard parting out a 2000 gtp. They listed a set of pacesetter headers as stock manifolds for 100$ shipped.

I immediately jumped on it.

Afterwards I noticed it doesn't have the flex/downpipe. So basically it ends at the y pipe.

Did I get a good deal? Can I have an exhaust shop fab something up?

You could get a shop to do that.
I believe zzp down pipe will hook up to them.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong though

from the pics i see on line it looks like a 3 bolt flange. so any shop can make you a dp and weld in a cat if you need one.

No ZZP DP will bolt up to a Pacesetter downpipen except for a Pacesetter downpipe.

Just buy cheapo Speed daddy headers off EBay.

Done and done.

Orr.... just buy a 3 bolt flange, zzp flex and a 2 bolt 2.5inch flange for the stock catback, exhaust shop could weld you together a pacesetter DP for like 30-40 plus the stuff I listed.

Yeah. Shop local to me made a weld in downpipe section for my RWD 3800 pacesetters for 20$, but that was just 2 welds. Should be in that price range and you'll have some used pacesetters for about 200ish. Not a super deal but not a bad deal either... As long as they don't leak.
