Header question

Car runs good has 300,000 miles ram air, K&N cone, 8mm wires, MSD coils 1997 3.8 Pontiac grand Prix gt. N/A I am definitely deleting the ubend and cat. Car is my D&D I don't race but like long rides and hid 80-90 most times. Question is is it work the hassle of putting headers it. Will I really see any difference either erformance or gas mileage wise? or will it even as someone said make the car run under less strain due to reduce back pressure prolonging engine life? I am original owner

Thanks guys

Without a good tune, headers will rob your power N/A.

Also, I would ditch the MSD coils for stock Delcos.
well I plan on getting a tune anyway and I know about the coils I was having a starting problem I thought it was coils after I bought the mads I heard delcos were better I still have the delcos and am going to swap back soon as I figure out how to test them. So with a good tune would the headers be something I want to do? and do you know how to test the coil packs.

You can move them around and see if a miss moves if you have one.

The way I always looked at it, a catless downpipe is around $120 shipped, headers are $200 shipped and flow much better. I would go with headers.

Speed Daddys are the way to go for a budget system. You just need a different flex pipe and some people us different clamps.
