EGR Leak if after header install tickng soounds like its coming from rear valve cover?

Is it bad for car or just performance?

Bump anyone got an answer for if its bad for the car or just performance and will it bring down gas miles?

I get leaks from my first front and rear exhaust clamps (speed daddy headers). I seafoamed my car 2 days ago and i had smoke coming from under the clamps. What can i do?

Headers tick...sort of the nature of the beast.

Make sure you dont have any exhaust leaks first. Get under the car and listen/feel for any. If any are found, fix them. Then go from there.

GOTIT, if you used Band clamps, you can take them off, and use some copper RTV, and cover where the pipes meet, and reclamp. I did that to one joint, and never had any issues again.

KJ.. are you anwering your own post questions?

Tick is part of a single wall flex. If you put headers on ... which you don't say which ones. Then you might have tick. You might have a leak, you have to get back under the hood and take a look

I can not get the stupidd flex to seal to the u bend real well with theat stupid ass clamp seems like it still leaks did you use RTV on that too.

ook im pretty sure its coming from EGR because today i swear i could feel the tick in the egr when i touched it

All the EGR does is put exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber to burn off extra emmissions and any fuel that wasn't burned the first time around... It can affect fuel milage, probably not drastically though. Any time you have an exhaust leak before an 02 sensor, it can cause drivability issues.
