Head lights and dash lights randomly shut off

while I am driving down the road at night the headlights will randomly shut off. When they do all my dash lights go out and I can not turn my lights on even with the knob. When they go out the DIC will go into the daylight mode. I will just have marker lights. Also sometimes when I start my car in the dark the headlights will not come on. I then re open the door and slam it and they will come on. When they go out when driving I can get them to come back on by hitting the door or dash. Any one know what could be the problem?

most of the time its a bad ground causing this, on the bell housing bolt is all the main grounds, theres a black wire there that the wire tends to start breaking off from the eyelet when you hit a bump the lights go out.
