head light help needed

A few years ago I purchased a set of halo projector headlight from ebay. I don't remember the sellers name or the brand of the lights. 1st my park lights stopped working, I checked all the fuses and bulbs and the bulbs and fuses where good. So I didn't worry about it, the side markers on the headlights still worked. Well today my left turn signal stopped working. I thought the bulb was bad, so I changed the bulb and it still hyper flashes as tho the bulb is bad. So I put the suspected bad bulb in the right side and it worked. The side marker lights on both sides still work. My question is, is it the headlights or the wiring of the car? Im not very good with chasing down electrical problems, my patience is very thin. Ive checked the bulbs and fuses, what do I check next? I would hate to order a new set of headlights and still have the same problems, so I would like to find the problem before I shell out some money. Any help will be appreciated .

check the inside of the bulb sockets. i had one break inside.

you can also try a test light to see if theres any power to the socket.

Like, see if the bulb broke and the bottom part of the socket is still there? If so, no. I took the old one out and put a new one in. Where can I get the test light? Auto zone?

any parts store sells them for about 2 or 3 bucks.

the metal clip in the bottom of my socket broke. you can also unplug the socket from its wires, and test for power at the plug there on the wires.

never know, but check the back bulb. if its out, the front will hyper flash.

Found the problem, water got into the stock socket, which u connect the aftermarket socket to. Right side was pretty corroded, left side was rusted, corroded and had a bunch of water in it. Hope auto zone sells these stock sockets or I'm screwed

Ok thanks, don't own a soldering gun. I'll keep that in mind tho, might be worth buying me one.

you can piece together a solder kit for less then 20 bucks. i paid 3 bucks for a iron at harbor freight and 3 more for a big box of shrink tubes. solder i get a radio shack, flux core solder, (5 bucks) its real thin stuff, works great. came with a lot in the tube, im still on my first solder purchase.

i've used my cheap little kit a bunch of times so far, once you have one you'll find uses for it.

did all my new speakers, the sub, amp, my maf and ait sensor pig tails, my fog lights, added a aux port to my stock radio that was a bunch of soldering points. and fixed a few power cords for cell phones that cats chewed through lol and im sure im forgetting a few things.

its paid for its self already.
