Yes, you certainly have coolant elbows even thoug you can't see them. In the case of a 97-98 , you may only have one, as the other connection is cast into the alternator bracket.
 


hmm. i guess i didnt look hard enough, when im doing the lower intake mani gasket is there any other gaskets i need to replace.. does the supercharger have one?
 
remember on the gen III supercharger, you have two coolant o-rings that have to be replaced also.
 
yeah im ganna replace the s/c gasket, coolant elbows i will replace, and i dont know what a VC gaskets and grommets are.
 
VC gasket = valve cover gaskets

grommets are the small rubber bushings that are used to hold the valve cover down on the head. You'll see them when you take the valve cover off.
