having trouble starting my car

i've had trouble starting my car, i thought it was the starter, so i went to go buy a new 1. & im still having the same issue! what do you guys think is wrong? is it cuz my transmission is ****ed up? cuz it has been throwing a **** load of oil! if you guys have any pictures of a ****ed up fly wheel, and a good one, can u guys put them up?
 


What exactly are the symptoms of the problem?
Do you get a grind noise when trying to start?
does it just go click,click,click,click?
Or does the engine turn when cranking but no VROOM afterwards?
Or is there nothing happening at all when you turn the key to "crank"?
