Has anyone in the US Adapted A gilmer belt drive to the l67

The cog belt was not made because of belt slip, I made it because I wanted to make it and be different. Very true this is not needed to prevent belt slip, and is not a affordable solution to the problem, as there are other methods out there for this, that are cheaper, and work fine.

Will I make these for sale, probably not.

There are a few things to iron out on my design...it is not perfect, and it does not eat belts for lunch, they do last quite a few thousand miles. Of course, I am using "cheap ass timming belts" and as one said "because of that this is not a true cog belt set up, its like somebody removed the timming belt off a DOHC engine, and retro fitted onto his L67". But I don't mine spending $26.00 for a Kevlar belt, compared to a $100.00+ "true cog supercharger belt".

Frankly I don't have the time to test, adjust, test, adjust, and test and adjust as needed. Its more like test, wait about a month to get time to adjust, then fix it, then wait about a month to reinstall what was adjusted...wait about a month then test it...just don't have the time to bust this thing on out like I want. Plus, I like to take my time, and SEE whats going on, and not just make an assumption and guess, and waste time and money in order to rush it along.

Its a real P.O.S., looks cool, sounds awesome, but a total waste of money. Tell ya what...I am happy with it 110%, best project I ever took on. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Just a quick question I noticed in Bio248 pictures that it has spark plug lead holders over the supercharger where do you get these from?

I had some, but they probably got tossed out when I moved last week. They're common on H-bodies here.

Interesting are the fuel rails factory aswell ? and how commomn are they? and Are they usually on motors that use the lead holders ?

No, those are the PRJ fuel rails. The wire holders will work fine with the factory fuel rail. The H-body fuel rail is no different.

Mines not a Smoothflow, its a PC. Its alot pretty looking but they both do the job the same. There was a guy on ClubGP who made a batch of these. I believe he only made like 15 or 20 of them, I have one of the first ones made.

As mentioned above, my fuel rails are PRJs. They should work on an Aussie L67 too, not 100% sure though. Your L67 looks indentical to ours, cept it looks like your using a bonniville SSEI coil bracket setup, otherwise its the same.

As for the plug wire retainer, its from an H-body, a Bonniville SSEI...

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what is a glimer belt drive and cog?

A gilmer belt drive are cogs that run the grooves/teeth across the cog instead of around it the advantages are less belt slip and sound very similar to a gear drive that is an awsome whine
