Harmonic Balancer Crankshaft Pulley

Ehhhh...I just got the harmonic balancer ( crankshaft pulley ) replaced along with a new serpantine belt on my 2002 3.1 SE. The shop charges $95/hr labor. I am thinking I was overcharged for labor :th_angry2:.

$70 - harmonic balancer
$31 - belt
$174 - labor and additional seal ($15 in the $174 total)

total parts and labor - $275

My question is; What would a warped harmonic balancer potentially effect when warped? I had my alignment and tire balance done and thought the wobble I felt in the car had something to do with the alignment but it turned out to be the balancer. The transmission runs okay, the shifts are a little hard when running at 2400 rpm.

yes, my friend...they are mounted in rubber and though you can go many many miles and never have to change one, it does happen!..especially to people in central Texas...and to people who reside at my address...hey!!..that's ME...:th_laugh-pointup:
