The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
You'll have to check for the ones your looking at buying. If you take the model number off the ebay add and hit it in google, it should give you some places to buy them and an idea of the price in the top couple searches. If doing that ain't cutting it post the link to the ebay add and I'll look into for you seeing as how I have nothing better to do while I'm at work... haha. hooray for working at a call centre... FML
There are two projector headlights available for our cars. The Spyder Auto projectors (initially sold in a group buy on here), and the "Dragon Eyes" (with the six LED's in the corner lens). The Spyder Auto projectors are decent, but do have some problems with alignment (do a search for "projectors" for more information). The Dragon Eyes are a H3 projector, and have worse output than stock.
As for bulbs, the Spyder projectors come with bulbs, and I believe the other ones do, too. If you want to replace the bulbs, the Spyder projectors use H1 in the lowbeam projector and 9005 for the highbeam.
I recently purchased and installed the Spyder projector lights from Ebay. I just did the fix that i found by searching for 'halo' and havent had any issues at all.....
yeah well something i learned about the spyder auto ones i have them on my car, i do have problems with the low beams pointing to the ground and you are NOT allowed to used HID bulbs... i was furious.
You're technically not allowed to use HID bulbs in stock capsules either. I believe they put that on their for liability reasons. Some H1 HID bulbs fit into the Spyder projectors, and some don't. If you want HID's in them, I'd ask some members on here which kit they use.
As for them aiming downward, it's not too hard to fix. Use washers between the bracket and the housing to raise the beam upward. Just be careful, as the plastic housing is very brittle, and the screw holes strip easily.
