• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Gxp super charged

It would take a lot of work, trans would be the weak link.

Furches performance tried a turbo GXP, I don't think even the 4T80E they put in it held up.

Lots of custom work, lots of money.

But that shows how most of the trans in these cars will break... if you don't drive it like a bat out of hell, it will hold up just fine. Lead foot, or dragstrip... Bye bye lol

the turbo LS4 that furchesperformance built put a rod through the block because the 4T80 wouldn't shift fast enough.

Furches car was a pre 06 Monte Carlo with a turbo ls4 swapped in. There are quite a few turbo gxp cars out there though, Kevin at Cartuning has been selling a turbo kit for them for years now.

whichever way, it's been tried with multiple cars, there's not a simple solution for the trans. the 65 breaks alot, the 80 is too slow, and the other options are lots of programming/fabrication. lol

It's been more than tried, like I said above Cartuning has had a kit for sale for the gxp for years now. A turbo gxp is no different when it comes to the trans lasting than a turbo 3800.
The FWD/4t65e setup is an equalizer.
