GXP Rims on 01 GTP

So I'm back with a few questions.

First off I'm wondering what tires I should buy to keep everything up and up for my GXP rims.
18x7 and 18x8

I'm running P235/60R16, and id like to stay around that diameter to keep the speedo alright.
Also to note, id rather be slightly under that diameter than over.

Finally, are GXP rims lighter or heavier than GTP Special Edition rims? I'm curious what the weights are.

an 18x8 weighs about 25 lbs. I would seriously doubt a special edition from a 2001 would weigh more than 20 lbs

edit: just so you know, 18x8 gxp wheels are getting harder to find, while there are tons of 18x7. you can find tons of oem 18x7's on ebay for 150 a piece easily. however, the performance tire selection for an 18x7 is more limited. I have a 2008 Grand Prix GXP with 18x8's on the front and 18x7's on the back, and am considering taking the 18x8's off and replacing them with 18x7 just I can buy a single size tire.

I have read that a number of owners have installed tire size 245/45R18 on the 18 X 7 Alcoa GXP rims. They indicated that this size tire will result in accurate speedo readings and also will not rub the inner fenders when carrying a heavy load.
I already run the 245/45R18 tires on my GP on the Eagle Alloy wheels
and have not had any problems.
