• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Found this over at ls1tech, and it points to a rustang site and eventually a rustang rag. Notice that running without a muffler is the loudest, but also gave the lowest power. I never would have guessed that was the case, although some people pointed out that there wasn't any tuning done. It makes me wonder if a cutout always helps power, or if you have to tune to take advantage.

I wish that there were more tests like this out there. But this is the test that is pushing me towards the Hooker Maxflows cause they cruise quiet (so my wife won't complain) but when you jump on it everyone knows.

:cool:If you don't mind me asking. What is the intended purpose of you modifying your vehicle. Race, Street, or Bragging rights?

My primary goal is to have a true 12 second car. I don't want to go faster than that. I drive me car on the highway and have to be realistic about it.

To keep a little low end torque you need a little back pressure to maintain drivability.

Talk to engine builders and pro racers to get a better insight on this whole exhaust thing. Let not get too crazy for the street.

Honestly, not looking to go much faster, I just want my car to look and sound good.

they are beast if you get the single chambers, I had the dual chamber first but they didnt quite put out the noise I wanted...I mean they sounded good just not loud enough. just look at my videos on youtube to see what singles sound like for the newer vids, the older ones like the accel. and the dyno are the dual chamber.---------oops just went and checked, youve already commented on a couple of vids:th_coocoo:

No GXPFiend is a different guy on youtube. I just took his handle. I posted on one of your videos, jsrhkmk7 is my handle on youtube.

We put a lot the vr series race mufflers on trucks at work. They sound really good. They are not very expensive either they are made by xlerator.
