GXP exhaust???

I am just looking for some exhasut suggestions to put on my newly acquired GXP. I really like the way the 5300 sounds with no mufflers, but is this good for the motor? Some motors dont like the reduced back pressure.

If not, wht combo produces a nice deep/throaty loud v8 sound?

Thanks,
Eric

Can't go wrong with Flowmaster for a V8. I've always liked the way they sound. Magnaflow is good but a more mellow note.

what is with people and wanting loud cars with no tone or smooth exhaust? straight pipe the whole car and be done with it then.

I personally think flowmasters are crap i going with gibson superflows. I havent seen anyone with them and think they will sound good. I'm just waiting on my doug thorley headers to get done before i do the exhaust.

man i wish i knew how to get headers i got everything else, i think flowmasters sound good in my vids but even in person they sound much better to me specially now that they are broke in ill have to get a new vid up there a little cleaner sounding.

I have noticed that the Flomasters do take a bit to get "Broken In" I had a buddy with a 5.3L and had Flowmaster 40's I believe. We drove 14 hrs straight the day after he got them installed. They kept getting louder and louder as we went. By the time we got back home they sounded completely different pretty throaty.

Has anyone tried Magnaflow on the GXP's yet? I love them on my GTP.

Have yo utalk to williamGt i dont know if the group buy is still going it might've closed, if thats so you might have to pay $960 on the doug thorley website

We have had nothing but good things to hear from customers about the SS catback from Magnaflow. It compliments a daily driven car perfectly.

They are also on sale for the next two days:th_eyebrows:

they were $599 in the group buy the only reason why i bought them

Same reason I bought them now instead of later, but because it's been long enough waiting that I've been able to get the money together. Still, the cam is the big restriction in my car (then the cat), not the exhaust manifolds. But saving $360 is worth doing things a little backwards.

What is the difference between a hogan downpipe and just cuuting the cat out of a exhaust system and replacing with a pipe?
