I found a really nice bike i like, Guy might want to trade hes Very interested in my Z28

I emailed him just for ****s and giggles cause i doubt he would respond, but hes VERY interested. Should i go for it???
Right now my car can beat modded 5.0 mustangs fairly easy and blown Camaros

Its a 2006 GSXR 750

2006 gsxr 750 k6,

bikes very fast,

has a powercommander 3,

FULL r55 shorty yoshi exhaust,

bikes been tuned,

geared down -2 in front so pulls really hard,

brand new michelen piliots, 1k on them,

black windscreen,

12k miles more like 9,, gearing throws it off just a little

this bike runs and rides great with zero issues,

Heres one video of my old transmission setup and before i changed the
intake, it was not as powerful because i had a almost stock sized converter
killing the motors power with the big cam

Nope.. I dont think you should.. If you really wanna get rid of your Z..
Sell it.. And you could buy one of those unmolested and still have enough money to beef it up..
I just think you will regret getting a bike that is that uncomfortable to ride after the "I got a new toy" wears off.. Youll realize its not all that..

Take it from a guy that from 16 to 22 ride nothing but crotch rockets.. Lost two friends on them and almost killed myself.. (When it has the power to doa wheelie at 80.. you will attemt it eventually)
I ended up selling them all off.. I know ride a 2008 Harley Fat Bob..
Much more comfortable to ride and a lot more power then anyone gives them credit for.. Ill kick a 600s ass anyday of the week till about 70mph..

Just a opinion though.. Do what you want..

i probably wont trade to ride it, it was just to get it ride it for a bit then sell it and then build a lsx transam build

I dont know how much you got into your Z28 but.. Id think youd loose money on it..
I just know that the rice rockets dont hold their value all that well..

where abouts are you, my old man lives in royal oak and i visit and i live in flint ,well now i do :( freaking boring up here, the roads suck, the towns boring

i was thinking about a bike for a little bit before i picked up the firebird, then realized i'd probably kill myself... and would lose any practicality. i'm sure it would be fun, but i'd keep the Z.
 
I think straight up he would be getting the better deal already. Dont get me wrong I do like crotch rockets, but if you are just gonna get rid of it anyway soon for a TA, why not just sell the Z instead?

Ya um I think you'd be getting screwed dude. KBB excellent value is $5,875. Miles NOT thrown in because the bike side doesn't allow it. Given the mods and probably how he rode it due to the mods listing that engine after 9k or 12k should probably be rebuilt and it would most likely be slower than if you just spent 8k and bought one brand new.

Now if you think your Z28 is of equal or lesser value, or if you just need it gone to help build your new project, just sell the car to help funds, buy a new bike and enjoy it for the rest of the summer and next spring/summer and then sell and start the project. You will be WAY ahead doing it that way, vs being lucky to sell this bike after you buy it. Think about the value of a 15k mile crotch rocket, which if you buy it showing 12k it will hit 15 long before you get bored with it. Whether or not the actual mileage is less, few will spend over 4k on a 06 750 with 15k+ on it. You will be losing so much more if you get this bike than what you will get back out of it.

I'm taking the motor out soon and dropping in a 383 Stroker with a 200 shot of nitrous and some really wicked heads. Should be the perfect Slayer for anything that comes around here, that isnt insanely stupid fast

I kinda didn't want to mess with it being i just had a kid and all, but summers almost over and i want to toy with it next summer instead of build.


I should be moving back to mad heights when i can get the house i really want, 2.5 car garage, and decent house... And woodward got me into trouble, never have i gotten a ticket in the Z ever in the 4 years i've owned it but almost a few times out there lol. I do miss the city though, flint doesn't have to much to offer me out here except a home for myself, my gf and my daughter.

Sorry about the loss of your friend and glad you're still alive. However you're not riding a v-rod powered by vance and hines and your name isn't Andrew Hines. Show me a video of your Harley kickin a 600's azz please........ Your Harley outpowers none of them unless you're talkin 600cc F2 from the 90's and weighs at least 250 more lbs.... sorry I have to raise the bs flag.....

If you can show me said proof I will be the first to apologize..... I'm def not a rookie when it comes to crotch rockets either.....:D
 
Oh and Z28gtp it's totally your decision. If you want that bike and are tired of your car I say do it..... it may be smarter to sell your car like the guy above said. You'll end up with more cash... bikes are a dime a dozen... also I'd go 1000RR or R1 just my opinion tho

My ex's father has a 50k Harley Screaming Eagle 1800 that is bored, stroked, tuned and prolly some other stuff I don't know about. Its big, fat, and retardedly heavy but I witnessed him (with her on the back) stay side by side with a crotch rocket down the highway, from 70-130 because she was on the back. Bike went to a wheelie and you just heard his harley roar and they were gone. Mind you its most likely 10k crotch rocket vs a 50k+ harley, but still... they can put down VERY impressive numbers if done right :th_winking:

You have every right to raise a bs flag.. I wouldnt have believed it either until I started riding and working for Harley.. I either have to get ahold of a helmet cam or have someone follow in a really quick car.. But either way.. Ill get you a video..
