I used to have a Marlin 30-30. It was my first rifle in fact. I sold it shortly after I got my 30.06 because I wouldn't have any real use for it any more.

Yea I dont use the 30-30 much.. I mostly let people use it that deer hunt with me....

I had a Marlin like that, sold it. Bought an AR15.

I like the AR15s, just wish they were not so dam expensive..... My next gun will be a Remington 700 VTR .308

OP is the 870 clone an H&R by chance? Cause I've heard they accept all 870 accessories, been looking at them but they are just so heavy compared to an 870.

I like the AR-15. I dropped a silouette at 300 yards (standing, I'm too old to get get down) with one shot on a live fire walk through the desert in NV.

Indeed it is, And Heavy? It was actually quite light from the get go. Even lighter with aftermarket stocks. Can easily for me be fired single handed-ly.

I see now its the tactical one. The 28" ones are heavy. I sell a lot of them. Can't beat the price on those things. There's a mossberg tactical at our store thats semi and has a breach barrel I'm tempted to buy. But it's almost double an h&r.

I have a Winchester Defender in 12 ga.. I like it but I may move to a semi auto mag fed 12 gauge.

I plan on getting the s&w m&p 9mm compact for carry and personal protection. It will be my very first gun......cant wait!!
