• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Guess why my car produces 0 boost. Taking bets.

if your talking coupler they sound like gravel in a cement mixer long before complete failure.

Does it idle?

can you drive it?

hold the bbv down and rev it does the gauge change?

for the love of god don't rely on the lego block oem boost gauge.....

vac leak umm spray carb cleaner around the base of the sc and see if the idle changes? spray the vac fittings and see if idle changes?

not to be a d1ck but these threads are worthless until the op gives more info....

I mi have posted more information on this car and everything that I have done for the last 2 months I will link them here in a minute. There are charts and graphs and they never get a response.

if you had read any of this it already states what I am using to read boost. The Torque app and a mechanical gauge.

So lesson number 1 here STICK WITH SAME THREAD SO PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO SEARCH MULTIPLE THREADS... this thread is on page 1.........

Bandook,

the he ones I saw fail you have the driveshaft that ends in the coupler drive. The coupler drive back then was aluminum with steel pins. The driveshaft is splined into the coupling drive and stripped out there. I don't remember the person reporting any noise.

my point is it would have made noise like previously mentioned gravel in a cement truck before complete failure. You mean to say the pins are sheared off rolling around shrapnel in the snout but doesn't make any noise? I doubt it.

What the **** is this ****?

No, I mean the hub stripped from the drive shaft, and by driveshaft I mean the one the pulley is attached to. Have you ever taken apart an M90? No sarcasm intended.

Brokevet talk **** all you want but I'm not throwing parts at the car, I have only replaced parts at the advice of more senior members here. I am no newbie.

So you have a MPS hub installed on the shaft. You're saying the MPS hub is slipping on the shaft? That's crazy....

Multiple threads on multiple issues makes me think your chasing your tail around and GUESSING but hey not my ride....

Or you could answer my questions.... Does it idle? Can you drive it? spray it down with brake cleaner and vac fittings does idle change? hold bbv down and rev it does it build boost? For the love of god don't rely on the factory lego gauge.

I can keep guessing like the 90 other threads you have or you can give us ALLLLLL the info of what has and has not be checked and/or replaced and maybe something will get accomplished out of this abortion.......

LOL talk sh1t about my name that was changed by a mod I'll be sure to have a mod change your to something like "90threadsstillbrokecar"

Ohh look another issue? where was this mentioned please point me in the right direction and navigate me through the other 5 or so threads where this was stated or wasn't it?

Well I thought that earlier but it can't be enough to cause this much loss of boost. It does seem to have moved. But I'm actually talking about the end of the snout that drives the coupler. It's aluminum, the pins are steel, the shaft is steel.

the car runs perfectly when not under boost and since I installed the 04' PCM it does not go lean anymore and has not set anymore codes. When I first got the car and it had a 3.4" pulley on it I would get into boost and lay over lean pull timing and go into reduced engine power if I just went through 1st to 2nd gear. It now goes rich when I floor it so I do suspect that sOn my way! "Tuning" was done on the car that was pretty bad.
