IF your interested in tinting your windows and dont feel like paying 300 bucks for it done and you dont feel like cutting and messing with sh$& then seriously check into this the company is GILA they are starting to make PRECUT special ordered window tint and get this! rear window is only 29 bucks and sides are only 28 bucks on my GTP im going to order them soon =] Just thought i would let some of you guys know.:th_thumb-up:

Can you recommend an eBay dealer? I found one that also has a good price on tint for my F150, and an installer kit. Don't know if I'd spend the money on that kit, but if I could combine shipping it might be worth it for my GP and F150, and maybe even my wife's Mustang.

I was dealing with xtremecity, but the last kit I got was a little messed up in spots. I am getting ready to order some from tint-pro. Gotta hook up a Mercedes and can't be getting crappy tint. If you don't get any before I get this car done, I'll tell you how their product is when I get it in. Talked with them a little and they seem like they know what there talking about. But, we'll see.

I was looknig at Tint-Pro as well after a quick search. Looks like I can get all three cars I need tinted, plus an install kit, for under $100. It looks like they sell Gila tint. You can watch the video on Gila's website, so if you have the other parts of their kit, you won't need it. I want to check my local Autozone to see if they have the install solution, as I'm sure I'd go through at least one bottle before getting all 3 cars done. My Impala is already professionally tinted, but for the price Tint Pro charges, it's worth it just to find out.

All I use for sollution is a little dish diturgent and water. Works extremly well and helps with sliding the tint into place. I have a old spray bottle that I emptied and cleaned out good. The only thing I bought was the kit with the razor knife, rubber squeegee and the empty bottle. Use my own bottle because it's bigger.

just the stuff you buy at the parts store, is nowhere near the quality a pro shop has (it will turn purple pretty quick)

I don't know where you guys are getting tinted, but i have llumar 5% on all my rears and it only cost me 120 bucks at a local shop

If you look around u can get the whole car for around $150... With window tinting, I wouldn't bother trying to install it. All it takes is a piece of dust and BLAM! U have a nice air pocket! >:|

For under $100, I can do 3 cars. I think I'll take my chances.

I agree with you. If you take your time and do it in the right weather conditions, it's no problem. I've always tinted my own. Why pay someone else for something I can do myself. I did my truck and now I have my two GP's to do. So I am looking at it like you, can get all of them done cheaper than what it would cost to pay someone to do one.

To me, the lifetime warranty is so worth it. Any authorized Llumar dealer will honor it. Never have to worry about it.

I'm all for doing stuff yourself, but tint plays a big part in your car's appearance. Amateur jobs make your whole car look... well... amateur.

Well, not all of us are Amateurs, so we can do this type of stuff ourselves. The guys at the tinit shops all had to start somewhere.
