Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Guess my 1/4 and whp with these mods.

I currently have a home depot 4" hai, powerlog, 3.4, tune, 104's, 3" downpipe, and zzp poly uppers. I will be adding an SSIC, SLP headers, and possibly an NIC cam along with the appropriate pulley(3.2? 3.0?). What does everyone think i will be running in the 1/4 with these mods and what whp/wtq i will be putting down?

Well I ran 14.6 back in the day with a - cold air intake, stock pulley,2.5'' dp,p-log, polly uppers and a tune that consisted mainly of maf tune and transmission tuning. That was with a 2.1 60ft on street tires.

So quarter mile wise I would guess about the same. That pulley is more than likley hurting you. And depending on what kind of ''tune'' you have that could also be hurting you.

right now i dont think youd even hit 13s.

after headers, high 13s with a good tune.

after headers and ssic, low 13s with a good tune. high with a bad one.

Sorry, i guess i should have posted my 1/4 history with the mods i have had.

Stock i ran 14.4 at 92.
with gutted intake, poly mounts, and tune i ran 14.3 at 93.
added a 3" downpipe and al 605's i ran a 13.9 at 98. all at englishtown.
added the 104's, 3.4, and plog. ran a 14.1 at 98 at a higher elevation track with terrible track prep with 2.2 60's. so i am definately in the 13's with a decent 60' at a decent track.

RED_GTP. What exactly specifies the NIC is for non intercooled cars? you can use the vs, s1x, xp and other cams with or without an IC, what is so different about the NIC?

Right now my tune has me running a bit rich at only about 17 degrees i believe, since i am waiting on a good tune when i get the new mods on. So the tune with all the mods i have planned will be good.

dang. breaking 13's with out a pulley. pretty good. seems like your car runs good. cam, intercooler and small pulley might put you in the 12's

And put me in the transmission ship:th_sick1:

heres to hoping though!

My originaly goal was to hit 13's on stock pulley with a basic setup after i first ran my car at the track. After alot of cursing, hoping, and 12 passes with the same setup and getting my launches down, a 13.9 at 98 with a 2.02 60' arose. Now the goal is 12's:th_biggrin2:

well yea problew gonna need a tranny too. even with out hard lauches at the track. cam, pulled, ic would problew blow your tranny out after to long

I'd skip the SSIC and go with a full size if you want to run 12's safely. The SSIC will probably heat soak within the 2nd pass. A S1X or a XP cam would work well for your goal of 12's. Its goin to really depend on your tune but mid 12s are possible after that.

ok so updated. No more NIC cam. My mod list will include:
SSIC
Big FMHE w/ a custom halo spraying co2
SLP Headers
XP Cam w/ 105 springs
Poly Uppers
4" HAI
Cutout
Should be a good tune
103's?
Appropriate pulley (3.0?)

What does everyone think of this setup?

with that cam and the supporting mods to run it as well as headers you can run 12s without all the rest.

but, that takes a ton of tuning. what's with the CO2 halo?

^^ cam is way better. more duration AND lift instead of just lift. in other words, you can move a lot more air.

Rockers are not as challenging to install as compared to a cam install. I chose the cam after the rockers.

a cam install isnt that bad either if you take your time. you just have to be really careful to do everything right.

someone who's done it by your side helps.

Agreed. Let me re-word my last statement and say it is more involved. I had to change my transmission at the same time. So it was a pita for me.

Skip the SSIC and C02 spray and go with the full size IC core. Really, the big front mount and spray won't do much when it comes to that dinky core, the core is small and will heat soak no matter what. You can only do so much with a pump that runs a few gallons per minute.

tell me you know this for sure. your sig does not reflect that youve been intercooled in any way. with enough fluid, the ssic does just fine. its just that most people see the step up to a fullsize being an extra $2-300 and just jump on it since its that much better.

yeh i have already replaced one but it was under warranty...this one isnt lol.....would a shift kit help make it last long????
