GTX Hood Install

I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I've gutted my interior and put it back together with an upgraded I/P wiring harness. Changed hubs and rotors. A lot of engine work. All by myself. Am I deluding myself in thinking I can install my new GTX hood by myself?

its gonna be hard by yourself, but its pretty easy with two people. just takes a few tries at it to get it lined up perfectly.

that's a 2 person job for sure, even removing a hood by your self can result in a cracked windshield. both people should keep one hand wrapped/holding around the corners of the hood when installing or removing to help prevent it slipping and hitting the windshield.

Well, my windshield is already cracked, so I'm not worried about that. My GP has the prop rod, so I was thinking that would help me get it on by myself. I was gonna put some rags in the corners and prop it up with the rod while put the bolts in. I'm thinking I would be better off getting some help now.

yeah get som help you dont want to damage the corners on the hood. It would be easy chip the front corners if you dont have help

Well, as I said before, my GP has the prop rod. My new hood had the "nipples" for the struts. I was gonna grab a set of hinges front the junkyard, but they seem to be either riveted or spot welded to the fender. Is there anywhere that sells the "nipples" that I could install? I like the struts for quick access, but I would use the prop rod for longer stretches.
