I am looking for my mom a newer model car. NO MORE mini van. I came across this. It says GTP, but I'm kinda thinkin that its not. Any help! I'm not big on the color, but, if it is a GTP, then i'm thinkin okay. I don't see any badge on the rear, or a heads up display, and , it don't have heated seats. Thanks Everyone!!!

First, it may not be a GTP. I thought it was in 04 that they dropped the GTP and the supercharged GP's were just GT's. Im not sure what year that happened in though. I have seen some 04 looking GP's that have GTP Supercharged in a smaller badge on the rear on the right side of the trunk lid.

Also, they switched from the VIN codes of 1 and K for the 3800 (1 Being the L67) to VIN codes of 2 and 4 and I havent a clue as to which one is the L32 power plant.

I dont see anything on the rear trunk lid that would indicate to me it has the badge but it is a VIN Code 4 engine if that will help you.

Any of you out there that have an '04 supercharged GP that can report what the 8th character/number is in their VIN?

comp-g's came stock w/ hud, So it can't be a comp-g. Also would've had those rims in polished not regular alloy, but rims can be changed so. Maybe a gtp, but chances are w/ those options or, it is not.

I believe it was actually 06 they started the supercharged gt thing, because 05 still had the gtp badging.

My 04 comp-g vins 8th charecter is the number 4

no prob all I had to do was step to the other side of the garage and look at my vin on my door, since I was already out there finishing up a write up project I had going on.

I love wirless internet, it does wonders while waiting for body filler and/or paint to dry.

Thanks Guys! Alot! She wants this Mazda3 s. I don't know Anything about a Mazda. It's an '07 withe 8k mi. Dark silvery grey purple color. It's ok for her. I talked him from 21900 to 16900 to 14000. Any input? Since she dont like the color of the GP, the Mazda is her first choice. But I can talk 'em down on the GP too. I love those seats! I can't be robbing my moms car;) Or can I! haha Purcell Chevrolet Specials
Thanks again.

Thats ashame, that GP has a whole lot more room. Id be tempted to get the '04 myself it were a little cheaper if I didnt already have one.

OH OH i stand corrected
and yes it does not have the tap shifters...
I am sorry GTPluv i should have looked closer...:o

Definatly not a comp G, however it is plausable to be a GTP. The 04-05 GTs got the horrible looking 16" rims. GTPs got 16 or 17" rims depending on the order.

FWIW, my room mate got an 04 GTP non comp G with the polished twisty 5 spokes, HUD, and 5 button DIC. Seems the only thing he is missing is the gears and struts.

Oh come on people! It's my mom:p All she does is Go Go Go! She needs something for milage. She already thinks Gp's do bad on gas (mine does). I told her that this car is newer and they make crap better every year they make it. Anyone know the milage it should be getting(the new one)?

I would rob her of the saets in a heart beat...:o

They are like sitting in a lazzyboy with cruse control :D

I am not sure on the millage for that car but mine is a 98
and we get 24 city driving and 32 hwy driving...

I'm thinking the person that owned the car took the shifters out
as every car i have found like this on has the shifter in the car
be it GTP or GT for 2004..
And as for it being a GTP i don't think so as it only has GP on the steering wheel
But is simple enough to find out.. ask to see the paper work on the car includeing the carFax

Depending on why the car has been in 12 times
i would say get this car 4 sure..
