Made a couple of runs against a friend's 02(?) WRX, lost by 1-1.5 cars both times. First run was 20-~60 and the next one was 35-90. He's got a turbo back exhaust, intake, ECM reflash; and I've got an FWI, 3" catless DP, PLOG, ported blower (inlet/outlet), 3.4" pulley, 180* thermo, and 104s. Not bad I don't think, the guy is a good driver to. Ran him back when I was still pretty much stock and it was much worse.
 


u kept up pretty good. i ran my friends 02 wrx not 2 long ago, he only has a catback exhaust and all i had was a short ram intake. off the launch he beat me by like 1.5 cars and on a role from 20 i got him all the way 2 like 80, then he passed me, turbo 4 top end.

I ran toe to toe with a '04 STi with a CAI/TBE/Tune/B.C/FMIC...that thing was FAST!! There was no give in the race at all. I wish I could have video'd that one. Bever went from a dig because I'd know the outcome of that, but we ran from 10-120-ish...too bad he put on a bigger turbo LOL
 
i had a wrx that ran a 12.8 1/4 mile. if u know how 2 launch it, they are monsters out the hole. i'd love to piss off cobras or modified srt-4's.

It's great for pissing off Vettes too. The stock 0-60 for the 09 STI is 4.5s. That's on par with brand new Vettes. Too bad it opens up after the first 1/8 mile.

AWD FTW, my friend quite doing digs after he blew up the drivetrain on his previous WRX.

and ive been RAPED by an 06ish sti (little spoiler) catback atleast, sounded beasty.

gave me about 2 and the hit from 60. by 110 he had probably 5 on me. uphill but he still raped me.

needless to say that was the last time i went around one tryin to put the supercharger in his ears

That's why the STI has a six speed that's nearly indestructible. They take around 600WHP (800-ish crank HP) before you start having reliability issues. Limited slip front diff and torsen rear diff with a driver controlled center diff even it out to making it very stout.

Technically, it's cherry blossom red. A very masculine color in Japan (kinda like blue here). Most of the badges on mine are darker than the typical cherry blossom red, but the one on the gauges is very respectful to it's roots. So fairly "pink". :th_laugh-lol2:

I'll soon be seeing 260WHP with 305lb-ft of torque to the wheels (all four) with just a tune. Deceptively quick. Wrapped up in a 3300lb evenly distributed wagon and you can have quite a bit of fun.
 
Yeah, the FDR on the STI is 3.91 with a close ratio 6-speed. I cruise at 75MPH and 3000RPMs because of it though. Highway mileage isn't that great anything over 65MPH. Turbo starts spooling around 3000RPM so it eats gas anything around that RPM or above.
